Cybertronians Defined

Life is as varied on Cybertron as it is here on Earth, so here is a useful guide defining the different life forms and what sets them apart not only from each other but also Earth life.


Cybertronians: Autonomous robotic organisms from the planet Cybertron. Living metal robots that can feel pain and experience varied emotions, just as effectively as humans do. Like all life from Cybertron, they run on energon, which serves as the lifeblood, ammunition, and energy source. These lifeforms have the ability to scan vehicles and transform into them, acquiring what is referred to as an 'alternative' also shorted as 'alt' or 'vehicle' mode.

• Mini-Bot/Mini-Con/Mini-Cassette/Cassettes: These are a smaller species of Cybertronian whose alt modes, if they have one, are usually not vehicles but smaller devices like radios, cellphones, etc., and can either have bot modes that are beasts or just smaller sizes to their larger counterparts. Beast Cassettes are kept as pets, and generally don't speak.
• Predacons: These are the Cybertronian equivalent of Earth's dinosaurs. These hulking creatures have beastly forms that resemble creatures from Earth mythology, though they, too, have a bot mode. These are usually larger, stronger, and faster than regular Cybertronians. Most can, but aren't limited to, breathing fire and possessing wings of their own.
• Beastbots/Beastcons: Cybertronians that don't have a vehicle mode, but have a beast mode. They aren't as small as Cassettes or as large as Predacons, but are roughly the same size as regular Cybertronians. Their beast modes resemble creatures that walk on Earth, though unlike their counterparts don't blend in.
  
  
  
• Drones: Cybertronians that are manufactured non-sentient robots, with varying intelligence. Most of them are mass-produced, though this isn't always the case.
