APPEARANCE
Optimus Prime is a very large bot. Standing in bot mode, he is a towering height of thirty-eight feet, his height matched by few. His chassis possess a strong build, with broad shoulders and a strong chest and long arms, heavily grafted with red armor, ended with equally gentle pair of five-fingered hands. He thins out around his lower abdomen, possessing no armor here, which then connects to his hips and legs, that while thinner than his arms are still strong and protected by a thinner blue armor. Each leg is adorned with four tires, one of the signifying characteristics of his alt mode, accompanied by the windshield, the mirrors and exhaust pipes that adorn his upper torso.
The Autobot leader’s visage is compiled of a silver faceplate, protected by a blue helm adorned with a ribbed spire that rests between his expressive brows and moves up past his head, accompanied with two other spires that are attached to the top of his circular audits. The sides of his face are framed by two more ribbed compartments, which hide half of the Autobot leader’s protractible faceguard on each lateral. This faceguard covers half of his faceplate, leaving only everything from its reach up to his helm exposed. Optimus’s optics could be one of the most expressive parts of his entire makeup. They possess a bright, electric blue shade, and are always reflecting his inner emotions, despite the fact that at most intervals he struggles hard to keep them concealed.

Optimus’s alt mode is a semi-truck that stands thirteen feet, six inches tall, and twenty-six feet long. The cab is made up of the Autobot leader’s red armor, while the blue armor flows overtop and protects the wheels. It is equipped with all of the features of a regular truck, including two seats, a radio, windshield wipers; and other practical attributes that one would expect, with a few added Cybertronian-grade features. From time to time, Optimus can be seen hauling a silver trailer along with him, but this trailer is used in only particular missions where it is needed and for prisoner transport.

PERSONALITY
Optimus, over his time, has developed into a spitting example of a leader. He has a patience that can last for miles, outstretching most others', able to withstand the most frustrating of situations. Ever kind, Optimus speaks with profound dignity and compassion toward his comrades. He’s brave, and often times seems to care very little about his well-being when it comes to those that are under his care, shamelessly putting himself in immediate danger and others behind his girth. Strong-willed, yet temperate, he has the uncanny ability to go from the stern commanding officer to the calm and trusted mentor and friend.
Optimus, through time as the Leader of the Autobots and gifted with the collective knowledge of the Matrix of Leadership, has a profound wisdom and impressive intelligence. He has an extensive knowledge of the history of their kind, what to say at the right time and how to say it, as well as the best course of action that will gain some success while at the same time keep everyone under his care safe. From his time at Iacon, he has developed an impressive skill when it comes to decoding as well as finding information buried in vast databases, even going so far as to finding concealed enjoyment in puzzles and challenges, though while those focus on his mind, he isn’t lacking in strength. Rather, the Autobot Leader possesses strength in body as well as mind, and knows certainly how to use it, though he prefers to find some way to keep things diplomatic, and only gets physical when he absolutely has no other choice.
With all these qualities, even a Prime isn’t perfect, and Optimus has his own flaws. He often tries to keep his emotions concealed, to better allow himself to act with better judgment and decisiveness. This often makes him seem distant, and the emotions he keeps bottled up are always In danger of boiling over. He is strongly lacking when it comes to social celebrations that are primarily informal, as once stated, “Primes don’t party”. Despite these personality flaws, however, he still does what he can to be what he both wants needs to be, for the sake of his fellow Autobots.

PARAPHERNALIA
Weaponry: Prime possesses a pair of energon canons, one for each hand. Their firepower is just a little above standard, with two barrels one on top of the other and customized in design to match his own preferences. Alternately, he also has in his arsenal a pair of blades that are very much like short swords that are protracted, like the canons, from where his hands usually reside. With these weapons, Optimus utilizes an impressive amount of strength, enough to pick up a standard car with one hand, and with a top limit of about two thousand tons.
Strengths: Optimus is very adept at driving, able to perform the most difficult maneuvers with ease. His time as a clerk at Iacon leaves him with an uncanny knack for decoding and navigating databases. After centuries of war he has exceptional knowledge and skill when it comes to multiple forms of combat, possessing both a good aim and versatility in hand-to-hand combat. His accumulative wisdom and intelligence makes him proficient at giving advice that can be both inspiring, influential, and at times, when needed, comforting.
Weaknesses: Despite being a Prime, the Autobot leader is about as prone to injury and Cybertronian diseases as much as any other Autobot or Decepticon alike. A well-aimed blast, cut, or punch can bring him down, and can become ill. His tendencies to bottle up emotions make him distant, and prone to periods of overwhelming rage, frustration, and sorrow.

HISTORY
Optimus Prime didn’t start out as the Autobot leader that he is today. Before the War began, he was a simple data clerk, an archivist that was devoted to collecting and recording all kinds of data from history to great writings and speeches of Cybertron’s kind, and Alpha Trion’s trusted disciple, going by the name of Orion Pax. During his time in the archives, learning about his planet’s past, he became increasingly troubled by the current systems of the ruling government and the oppression and inequality of the varying caste systems. Eventually he came to learn about a famous gladiator who battled in the pits of Kaon that went by the name of Megatronus. He, too, shared Orion’s views, and the data clerk eventually came to view him as a mentor and friend. Together they went on to become revolutionary politicians, seeking change and retribution among the different Cybertronians of their society.
Orion went with Megatronus, who had renamed himself Megatron, to go to the Council and request that a new Prime be instated to purge the government systems of the long-standing corruption and cruelty cast upon the lower echelons of Cybertron. The Council agreed to hear them out, wherein Megatron requested that he be placed as the new Prime, revealing his true colors and violent, forceful views. Orion disagreed, and stood before the Council to suggest that they take a peaceful route, without violence, to gain equality among the different masses, his humbled speech moving the sparks of all audits who heard him. The Council refused Megatron, and Orion lost any ties that he had with the former gladiator on that day. Though the Council knew that before them was a spark deserving to be a Prime for the first time since the early beginnings of the Golden Age, they knew the right to the title had to be earned.
Some time passed, and Orion was pained to find that their planet was being ravaged by war and violence, the perpetrators led by his former ally. The war poisoned the planet, down to its very core. Desiring to find a way to figure out a way to heal the dying Cybertron, Orion traveled to the core, where he faced the Spark of the Creator, Primus. The dying Primus sensed Orion and his pure spark, and bestowed upon him the Matrix of Leadership. Orion Pax was no more, replaced by Optimus Prime. The new Prime resurfaced, and eventually went on to become the leader of the Autobots, to fight against the vengeful Megatron and his Decepticons, as the planet around them was ravaged by the Civil War created between the two rivaling groups, each struggling to gain control.
Losses were heavy on both sides, but Optimus still fought for the sake of their planet, until the eventual end of the Civil War after Cybertron became desolate. When the remaining Cybertronians on both sides fixed their eyes on a new planet, Earth, and the Cybertronian resources there, Optimus stood in Megatron’s path for conquest again, and vowed to always be in his way, and protect all the lives that deserved to choose for themselves what fate should await them.
