There was a lot to do, but really nothing to do. Well, there was really nothing the second-in-command wanted to do. Nothing here was of no importance for him to devote any attention to. He stood around the bridge, watching the Drones hard at work. A permanent scowl seemed fixated on his expression. His hands were wrapped around each other behind his back. He slowly made some 'rounds' which really composed of looking over the shoulders of the busy worker drones. His small feet stepped on the metal floor beneath him with dull thumps and a light clank. He could be somewhere doing his own thing, making his own scheme, or something like that but here he was Drone-sitting!
He rounded the bridge before giving a sigh to show his irritation. Starscream shuffled towards the door, but remembered he could not leave. Even if he could, which he wanted to, what was there to do out there? He went up to the upper platform in order to look at a nearby screen. There were no new items of interest. No energon signals, faint or strong, nothing. It was as quiet as it was on the base. "By the All-Spark! Someone start a fight or something!" Starscream shouted in his head as he flung his hands up for a moment, giving a low, short, growl as he made his way back down the platform to patrol the Drones again.
Megatron waited at the edge of known space, he had sent the coded signal back to the Nemesis and awaited the activation of the space bridge. It had been three long years since he had been at the helm of the Decepticons, he could only hope that Starscream hadn't completely messed things up. Regardless of the state of things on the Nemesis once he returned he had the means to raise a vast army, one big enough to finally crush all the autobots once and for all time!
Of course this means did not come without a price and for now he would require more research into it before he would be able to control it. However a power this great longed to be controlled by someone of his superior power and intellect. Still...it had been a long time and there was no telling what the Autobots had been up too under Optimus, he would get a...briefing by Starscream, no doubt pointing out everything the second in command feels he had done to advance his cause and then he would get a proper briefing by Soundwave, of this he was certain...

Well, something did happen. It was not what Starscream had expected but something did happen. There was a signal received on the Nemesis and Starscream ordered for the activation of the ground bridge. He had a sinking feeling that he knew what it was, but he held hope that it was not what he thought. The moment he saw the silver colored tyrant step through, he felt that hope, along with something else, roll over and die inside of him. His red eyes stared and his jaw dropped slightly as he saw who stepped through. Oh scrap.
Quickly, Starscream composed himself. He faked a smile as he stood to attention, "Lord Megatron! It is so pleasant to see your...return! We all had...assumed the worst." He said, his head slightly down, as though giving his subtle submission towards the tyrant. Inside, his surprise had turned into fury. Now this meant that he was no longer the commander over the Decepticons. He buried his anger inside of him."You will see that everything has been kept in order during your...absence." He said, a lanky clawed arm reaching out to sweep across busy Decepticons that were hard at work.
