No One to Save You

There had been no true winner in the battle of Lost Faith. It was Lost Faith, because their home was now no more than a lost cause and childish wish. The last thing Bumblebee saw was the destruction of the Omega Lock. He had failed to see whoever or whatever it was that had taken him out as he stalled in shock to their greatest loss. The loss of their hope.

Still, he would have followed Optimus to the ends of the universe as he had all along. He would not have questioned it. Optimus knew what he was doing. Whether they faced loss or gain, Optimus Prime's intentions were for their benefit and the overall greater good.

The Scout with great perseverance had never looked in such bad health. He'd been found once before to appear lifeless. Now, he looked like the deceased that had long since passed. Bumblebee hadn't been in a conscious state for six days now. His stubborn Spark was still attempting to support itself as it blinked and huffed its last. Shockwave would receive no fight as Bumblebee was hooked up to the number of machines and monitors followed by a line. The screens would show a very weak flutter that they would experience difficulty in picking up now and then. This was it.

The strange substance moved on its own like unreal water. Down the lines it went, gradually reaching the husk of a Scout. Only a short moment in, the monitors confirmed his flat-lining. On the outside, there was no true difference. His optics remained dark and his frame lifeless.

As the infamous worked on his guinea pig for his selfish endeavors, Bumblebee's limp arms dragged here and there with each movement and his head remained lulled to the left. Little time elapsed before he was tossed like yesterday's trash unto a pile of other less fortunate bodies. The yellow body bounced once or twice before settling into place with his head hanging back.

There was a deafening silence from the once eager and brave soul. The same matter that had been infused in with his stagnating circulatory system was beginning to run from the beneath the guard that covered a scarred mouth. Seconds followed before a combination of energon and the substance dripping from crevices and openings in his wounds began. As part of a gradual process, from the inside out, the mend began. It was as if the code of matter was being shifted. Or more or less, the original code was being copied in order to replace and repair physical changes to the original model.

His optics began to light up in bright blue as his inner workings were mended, and after a short moment, Bumblebee was conscious.

It was still dark out in the outback of Australia, perhaps lucky that it was so. It took no longer than twenty seconds for Bumblebee's vision began to clear to the sight of a mangled drone's face, inches from his. There was a pause as his thought process started up again before he immediately shot up and turned, rolling down the side of the pile of drone bodies as he fell. "WAH!" Another fell on top of him. He lifted his leg to kick them off, attempting to scurry away from the absolute rudest awakening he'd ever had. He stumbled and almost tripped as he looked around, trying to jump onto his feet from his hands and knees. The look on his face showed his surprise all too well.

His head and his chassis hurt as the immense amount of energy within him pulsating from his Spark. He felt like he was having some form of monstrous adrenaline rush induced by a medication he never wished to try again.

Bumblebee was already spooked to begin with, Lycosidae needn't try. His vision had tunneled as he turned a one-eighty in Shockwave's direction. Optics wide, he instinctively lifted his weapons and fired in the infamous scientist that had begun advancing towards him. Just as he fired, the kick from the weapon knocked him back and a stranger's voice entered his left audio receptor has she caught his left arm. He blinked, still watching Shockwave and questioning the massive amount of energy fired in one shot as she attempted to pull him away. He turned in her direction in silent agreement, aiming to run with her as Shockwave's cannon blast struck behind him and he was thrown forward with her. His body collided face-first into the ground and sand flew in every direction. 

His first shot fired had missed Shockwave due to being pulled off balance during the initial blast. Instead, it came in contact first with a tray loaded with the chemicals in canisters. The contained experimental products ignited and exploded, creating a domino effect as it set off equipment and took the computer console nearby with it in the destructive chaos. 

Bee fired again, at Shockwave. The kicks were too strong for him to remain on his feet and each time, he was knocked back down. With nonstop fire, he could feel the kicks becoming increasingly weaker along with his own self. His tunnel vision was beginning to disperse and diverse thought processing. 

His being up against Shockwave truly wasn't a smart play. He had someone with him who appeared to share a common enemy. It was time to move and take off, but such afeet would be hard in a desert with no cover. Speaking of desert, where was he!?

Simply running from an enraged giant who had decent artillery on his side wasn't going to end well. They needed to find a way to down him, even just momentarily, if they were to get out of this.

He felt the sand sticking in his joints and crevices, grinding uncomfortably in a way that would make anyone twitch from the optic. Autobot hands pushed their body from the ground and back onto feet as he witnessed the strange, spider-like femme dart around and throw herself onto Shockwave's back. Honestly, he didn't understand what was going on at this point. His weapons both aimed at Shockwave's knees as he ran in a clockwise direction around Shockwave in hopes to make himself a harder target and fired away at the line connecting his cannon to his back. It's hard to pick on someone smaller than you without a constant feed of ammunition.

The twin plates of his mouth folded apart and retreated below as his only option came to mind. <"Optimus! Optimus, are you there?! We need a ground bridge! I- ehr- I'm sending coordinates, I don't know where- FWUAH!"> With the distraction at hand, he had little time to brace himself before Lycosidae slammed into him. He was thrown against the ground with a blunt strike to the head. A new ache in mind, he scrambled to try and get her and him back up, cursing it internally. The moment he saw Shockwave's cannon light back up, he turned so that Lycosidae was on the ground and that he was on top, trying to roll the two away and take the brunt of the attack. His paint job curled away from the heat and his armor warped with a new burnt wound to leak energon. "Hn!"
